La Voix des Jeunes was founded to fill the void left by recent cuts to arts education in Acadiana. We are a community-based youth choir committed to providing students with rigorous and inclusive vocal pedagogy and performance practice. Regardless of what school you attend, if you have a passion for singing, you have a place here. No school affiliation. No financial barriers. Just music and community.

Founder & Artistic Director

Steven Guillory

Steven Guillory is a professional conductor, active chorister, and veteran educator who has been teaching since 2013. Holding a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting, he will begin his doctoral studies in Choral Conducting at Louisiana State University this Fall. Steven is deeply committed to providing students with a premier, inclusive choral experience where rigorous musical excellence and personal mentorship go hand in hand.

Season Logistics & Auditions

Rehearsals: Monday evenings in the Lafayette area, beginning August 17th.Tuition: $250 per semester (payable monthly or in full). This comprehensive fee covers all legally purchased sheet music, a cool t-shirt, a professional performance binder, and elite vocal instruction.Financial Aid: We are radically inclusive. Through our community-backed "Sponsor a Singer" program, partial and full scholarships are available for any student facing financial hardship. Please do not let cost keep you from auditioning.
